Bean in Ashwell Once again our coffee shop has proved so popular that we have extended the amount of seating available for our customers and come Easter the patio area will be open once again.
Our coffee is roasted in small batches so as to preserve it’s unique flavour and freshness and the Rhubarb & Mustard blend is made
with the finest Costa Rican, Brazilian, and Indian Arabica coffee beans – loose coffee beans are for sale in 250 gramme packs. Drink in or takeaway coffees are available as Latté, Cappuccino, Espresso and flavoured Mocha with a choice of chocolate mint, chocolate, gingerbread or butterscotch. Decaffeinated is available as well.
If coffee’s not your thing then why not try our English Breakfast Tea or unique hot chocolate made with a chocolate block on a stick. Pop in and have a cuppa.
We are delighted to bring you a gourmet selection of authentic worldwide cooking sauces from Seasoned Pioneers. Each sauce is carefully prepared to a strictly genuine recipe using the very finest ingredients with their essential flavour being imparted by authentic spices and dry-roasted spice blends. Sauces include: Moroccan Fennel & Apricot, Sri Lankan Curry, Chinese Sichuan Plum & Mandarin, Cajun Jambalaya and Spanish Pimentón Bravas.
For those of you with a more traditional palate we are stocking Potts’ cooking sauces, perfect for people who crave a distinctively homemade taste. Prepare a great meal in minutes using these delicious sauces: Parsley, Three Peppercorn & Brandy, Diane, Chicken with Thyme & White Wine and sauces for Stroganoff and Fish Pie.
The Sowdonia Cheese Company produce premium cheeses for every occasion whether it’s family eating time, a guest menu, or that late supper with fine wine. Their flagship cheese ‘Little Black Bomber’ is a truly scrumptious select extra mature cheddar and other cheddars include Pickled Onion, Cranberry, Whisky, and Garlic & Garden Herb.
Other cheeses we have in stock include the unusual ‘Lancashire Bomb’ matured for 24 months to give a strong yet creamy flavour and was featured on the BBC’s ‘The One Show’.

Nothing beats the aroma and taste of fresh home baking so for all you enthusiasts we are stocking a wide range of flours and bread mixes for your enjoyment.
Wessex Mill award winning flours are milled to produce top quality bread time after time and use only wheat grown locally around the mill in Oxfordshire. They are ideal for bread machines, home and craft baking and flours include: Strong White, Mixed Grain, Wholemeal, Sunflower, Mixed Pepper & Basil, Tomato & Garlic, Apple & Cinnamon, Malt Loaf and also a Gluten Free Bread Flour.
For those of you not quite so ambitious we also stock a range of ready made gluten and dairy free bread mixes from Glebe Farm, a working arable farm in Cambridgeshire - they work hard to produce and make really high quality food without compromise, for your enjoyment. Bread mixes include: Organic Sunflower & Linseed, White & Pizza, Seeded Brown & Spelt and Sunflower Seed.
